中能重离子(10—100MeV/u)是研究热的核物质的最有力的工具。热核的形成可以通过两种主要类型的反应:深部非弹碰撞和熔合。实验中可以观测到的量是主要衰变剩余物(深部非弹碎片或熔合剩余物)和衰变产物,也就是轻粒子、中等质量碎片、γ射线或π介子。本文讨论了用研究衰变产物的方法识别和分析热核的四个问题:根据态的相对布居测量核温度;根据动能谱测量核温度;根据衰变粒子多重性测量激发能;根据中等质量碎片的产生机制判定热核的形成。
