前言加速器的辐射场主要来源于加速器运行期间产生的次级辐射。不同类型的加速器产生的次级辐射的种类和强度不尽相同。加速器屏蔽设计主要依据其可能产生的最大次级辎射强度。因此屏蔽厚度的确定必须综合考虑加速粒子的种类、能量、束流强度以及靶材料的性质等各种因素。同时还应考虑相邻区域的类型和人口密度,以便使周围群体的集体剂量当量保持在可以合理做到的尽可能低的水平,并保证个人所接受的剂量当量不得超过相应的剂量当量限值。
