同位素技术可以帮助人们了解物质变化的规律,分析和测定物质的特性,参与许多重要生产过程的自动检测和控制,例如可以自动检测在密封管道内正在流动介质的密度或浓度;可以自动检测密封容器内具有高温、高压、高粘、高腐蚀介质的液位或料位;可以自动检测压力、流量、湿度、成份和温度等各种参数,它具有简单、快速、无损、不接触,可以实现产品的自动检查和连续控制,有时还可以解决一些常规检查和测量方法所不能解决的问题。
