硅同位素链单质子俘获到磷同位素链的谱因子

Spectroscopic factors of single proton capture from silicon to phosphorus isotopes

  • 摘要: 硅通过质子俘获生成磷的核反应是新星爆发的氢燃烧过程中非常重要的一个环节。然而,因为涉及短寿命的原子核,相关的实验测量往往面临巨大挑战。通过计算这些核反应的谱因子,可以为核反应截面的估算提供理论依据,这对实验研究具有重要参考价值。本研究重点关注硅同位素链形成磷核的直接质子俘获过程,基于原子核壳模型理论,计算了相关的谱因子,其中通过25-28Si质子俘获反应得到的结果与现有实验数据及理论计算结果吻合良好。此外,我们还首次预测25P基态的质子谱因子约为0.6。

     

    Abstract: The formation of phosphorus nuclei through proton capture by silicon isotopes is a critical process in the hydrogen burning stage of nova explosions. However, experimental measurements of the associated nuclear reactions face significant challenges due to the involvement of short-lived nuclei. Calculating the spectroscopic factors for these nuclear reactions can provide a theoretical basis for estimating the reaction cross sections, offering valuable guidance for experimental studies. This work focuses on the direct proton capture processes leading to phosphorus nuclei along the silicon isotopic chain. Based on the nuclear shell model, we calculate the relevant spectroscopic factors. The results obtained for proton capture on 25-28Si are in good agreement with existing experimental data and theoretical calculations. Furthermore, we predict for the first time that the proton spectroscopic factor for the ground state of 25P is approximately 0.6.
