替代反应法测量88Y中子俘获截面

Measurement of 88Y Neutron Capture Cross Section with the Surrogate Reaction Method

  • 摘要: 不稳定核中子反应截面数据在许多领域中有着重要价值,但由于制靶困难等因素而难以直接进行测量。通过替代反应生成相同复合核,测量替代反应相应反应道结果并结合理论计算可间接获得所需的中子反应截面。基于此原理,使用89Y(p,p’)89Y作为88Y(n,γ) 89Y的替代反应,通过p-γ符合测量得到复合核89Y*通过级联γ退激发时特征γ射线随等效中子能量变化的相对衰变概率曲线,结合UNF程序计算的中子反应复合核形成截面和Weisskopf-Ewing近似,得到了88Y(n,γ)的反应截面。

     

    Abstract: The unstable nuclear neutron reaction cross section data are valuable in a number of fields, however, it is difficult to make direct measurements due to factors such as difficulty in target preparation. The neutron reaction cross section can be measured indirectly by using the theoretical calculation combining with the surrogate reaction experiment result which produces the same compound nucleus(CN) as the target reaction does. Based on this theory, we use 89Y(p,p’)89Y instead of 88Y(n,γ)89Y to determine the cross section of 88Y(n,γ) through the use of UNF program and Weisskopf-Ewing limit combining with the γ relative decay probability from the p-γ coincidence measurement of the cascade γ decay of the CN 89Y*.
