长距离靶前成像及测温系统前期研究

The Pre-research of a Long-distance Target Imaging and Temperature Measurement System

  • 摘要: 加速器驱动嬗变研究装置(CiADS)是中国的一个大科学装置,其旨在安全处理核废料,在CiADS的第一阶段,质子束流的功率高达2.5\ \rm MW,为保证临界靶的安全,需要建立一套靶面观测和温度监测系统,即长距离靶前成像系统(TIS)。本文对该系统的研究与设计做了初步介绍,包括一个41.5\ \rm m的可见光光路,同时还对荧光材料\rm Al_2^O_3^:Cr^3+进行了多种测试和实验,包括检测材料晶相的X射线衍射(XRD)实验,测量荧光材料的发光强度和寿命的光致发光(PL)测试,以及观察荧光材料表面和测量元素组成的扫描电子显微镜(SEM)测试。根据ZEMAX的模拟结果,TIS的空间分辨率在可见光下可以达到设计要求的1.5\ \rm mm,在红外下可以达到12\ \rm mm,同时还对不同的\rm Cr^3+掺杂比例或涂层技术等荧光特性也进行了研究。除此之外,还进行了双红外测温的研究与实验。

     

    Abstract: The China initiative Accelerator Driven System (CiADS) is a large accelerator facility aiming for the nuclear fuel transmutation, which needs a critical target profile and temperature monitor, claimed as a long-distance Target Imaging System (TIS), to ensure the safety of 2.5\ \rm MW proton bombarding the target at its first stage. This paper presents the preliminary researches of system details, including the design of a 41.5\ \rm m long-distance optics route, and tests and experiments on the fluorescent material Al2O3:Cr3+, and the dual-wavelength comparison for precise temperature measurements as well. These experiments include X-Ray Diffraction (XRD) for the material lattice, Photo-Luminescence (PL) tests for the light emission efficiency and lifetime, and Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM) tests for the surface roughness and elemental composition. According to ZEMAX simulations, the spatial resolution are better than 1.5\ \rm mm and 12\ \rm mm requirements in the visible and infrared wavelength, respectively. The fluorescent properties like different \rm Cr^3+ doping ratios or coating techniques have also been determined after tests. In addition, this paper also conducts some experiments on dual-infrared temperature measurement.
