Design and Research of CiADS Beam Permit System

  • 摘要: 加速器驱动嬗变研究装置(CiADS)是国家“十二五”期间优先安排建设的重大科技基础设施,对加速器束流状态及控制系统的可靠性都提出了较高的要求。中国科学院近代物理研究所研制了ADS质子超导直线加速器样机(CAFe)来进行技术验证。本研究旨在提升束流准许系统的可靠性与可用性,以满足CiADS对束流可用性和控制系统可靠性的更高要求。本研究引入IEC 61508标准,并对其相关概念和开发流程进行总结。在硬件方面,采用冗余设计和故障检测机制,以提高硬件系统的可靠性和容错性。在软件方面,选择了适当的软件架构和安全措施,通过模块化设计和结构化编程实现了具有安全属性的应用软件。最终通过IEC 61508标准的引入确保系统在设计、开发和运行过程中满足高可靠性和安全性的要求,从而保障加速器装置的可用性和可靠性。

     

    Abstract: The China initiative Accelerator Driven System (CiADS) is a significant scientific infrastructure project that was a priority during the 12th Five-Year Plan period in China, which imposes stringent requirements on the reliability of the accelerator beam state and its control system. To support technical validation, the Institute of Modern Physics, Chinese Academy of Sciences, developed the ADS proton superconducting linear accelerator prototype (CAFe). The objective of this study is to enhance the reliability and availability of the beam permit system to meet the higher requirements of CiADS for beam availability and control system reliability. In this study, the IEC 61508 standard is introduced and its relevant concepts and development processes are summarized. In terms of hardware, a redundant design and fault detection mechanisms are adopted to improve the reliability and fault tolerance of the hardware system. In the aspect of software, the appropriate software architectures and security measures are selected, and the application software is implemented with safety attributes through modular design and structured programming. Through the integration of IEC 61508, the system ensures compliance with high reliability and safety requirements throughout its design, development, and operation phases, thereby guaranteeing the availability and reliability of the accelerator facility.
